ROMILLY CRESCENT
The design brief for this huge city garden was to create a wildlife friendly garden with large deep beds, and no lawn.
Transforming this former carpark and play area into a garden bursting with life took several months and over forty tons of top soil! We installed a natural pond to promote a more diverse habitat for visitors to the garden. The meandering path of flagstones is sat on a bed of a soil gravel mix which has been planted with low growing camomile which over time has helped to blur the lines between the path and the beds.
A bespoke spiral arm path curls off from the main path breaking up a large bed. Made by setting small oyster slate pavers into a concrete motor bed and setting small river pebbles in at the end to provide a secluded place to sit amongst the flowers and fruit.
